So, does it look to anyone else, like this Mississippi Sandhill Crane and this Canada Goose are playing follow the leader?
Last weekend, while driving home from Ocean Springs, I saw two Mississippi Sandhill Cranes breaking bread in the rain with these Canada Geese. I found it a bit insulting as we couldn't have been more than three miles from the feeding plot where I spent a VERY cold pre-dawn morning not Counting Cranes. In fact, for all I know these were my allotted cranes. Harumph....
Oh well, it was a pleasant surprise to run into them when I wasn't looking for them and take a few (read about 75) soggy photos.
The Finman and I are scheduled for adventure this weekend. I'll let you all know how it turns out. Ta Ta
Can't wait to hear about your adventure and I love the shot of the two birds- Their heads are even in the same position almost- as if the goose is imitating the crane.
ReplyDeleteThanks Wiz. Funny little goose.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot and very clever title. Truly, someone could get a crush on you, just from your journal.
ReplyDeleteThank you Honey. To think, you did.
ReplyDeleteReally cute photo sis.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful birds, aren't they?
ReplyDeleteSure are. I'm better at catching glimpses of them than I used to be.
