Dolphins At Lunch

Not to brag, but not just everyone can say they had lunch with dolphins.  Well, maybe I can't say I had lunch "with" the dolphins either but, dolphins are what caught my eye on my lunchtime photo stroll.

Today's lunchtime perambulations found me standing alongside the Pascagoula River, near the mouth and across the river from a ship registered in Monrovia.  And, who did I see showing off beside the big ship?  A couple of bottlenose dolphins.

Let me tell you, anticipating where a dolphin is going to surface is not as easy as it sounds.  I managed to get them in frame a few times.  It really made my day.

  4. I didn't know that Dolphins would travel up the River. How cool is that?

  7. Blondcat, I know, except unlike Mulberry St. I didn't have to use my imagination.

Dee, sitting here drinking coffee on a different day and I raise my mug and salute you back. :)

Fin, glad we were able to sort out one hurdle.

Jane, I know! Isn't it nice. I saw dolphins the time we toured the NOAA ship, which is right along there as well. I've been hoping to see them again.

Scott, it seems to me that a good deal of nature photography is sheer luck.

  8. Chiang Guy, sure was nice. We you come to visit, maybe we'll kayak through there and see some dolphins on the trip.

  9. I love seeing Dolphins BUT they always scare me at first glance when we are out surfing. Some pods are very friendly and others like to keep their distance...
